Christmas in the 'Emerald City'....
Well blog fans, we've had a very busy time in the Emerald City (that's Sydney to you and me!) since our last post. On Friday, we took the ferry across Sydney Harbour to visit the amusingly-named suburb of 'Manly', complete with sunny beaches and more beach volleyball courts than you could ever realistically need. Clare was pleased to see some fellow taffies there, even if it was only their camper van, and only a sticker:
On the way back to the city, I got a bit of an 'arty' shot of Sydney. Marks out of 10 please:
The following day, we caught the morning train to Katoomba, nestled in the Blue Mountains a couple of hours out of Sydney. Katoomba is home to one of New South Wales's most famous natural features, the Three Sisters. Here's yours truly posing in front of them:
...and here's Clare larking about with another three sisters, except these ones were naked. And bronze.
Now, call it a cliché if you like, but on Christmas Day, we could think of nothing better to do than make our way down to Bondi Beach. Along with another 10,000 backpackers who had had the same idea. Apologies for the 'wonkiness' of this next shot, taken by precariously balancing the camera atop a handily-placed skip:
We had a nice stroll along the beach and a massive ice cream, then decided to tackle the very picturesque clifftop path to Coogee:
...before returning to our enthusiastically-decorated top-quality hotel suite for some very fine Christmas cuisine.

Hiya!!!! Loving the pictures, bless what do you look like it that last one and Si loving the shirt!!??!! Merry Christmas both and hope you enjoyed your unique Christmas dinner - we missed you but ate your lunch between us (he he) Clare xx
Mmmmmmm, Dairy Milk! I'm not sure that it beats turkey roast with gravy, but still it's not all bad ;)
Hope you're still having a great time and that Christmas away from family life wasn't too boring :)
Still having a great time mate, some roast turkey and gravy would have been good on Christmas Day though! Not sure I'd spend another away from home though. Hope you had a good Christmas.

Hey guys, hope you managed to find some 'tates and gravy' I even managed to track some down in Cambodia (as well as roast turkey!) so sure you can over there!
